Well, the final numbers are in and the Crushing Techno Tigers are responsible for raising $285 for the Multiple Sclerosis Society. The team walked in the Walk MS event earlier this year in Troy MI.
The team showed up on a cool windy morning and walked the route a nice size crowd! We all wore our CTT shirts and got a nice response as we did our team "HOO-HAH" cheer :)
This is a great group of kids and giving back to in this way shows their heart & spirit.
Congratulations team!
P.S. It should be noted that we had a few 'Hippies'
join us too! ;)

The Crushing Techno Tigers is a FLL (FIRST Lego League) Team from Troy Michigan. This bright & spirited group of kids is simply amazing and are excited to get the FLL Food Factor season started. Team members in alphabetical order are: Ashley, Daniel, Dhruv, Elizabeth, Lauren, Nathan & Rithik
This blog page is our attempt to share with everyone what we are doing and how much fun we are having.

Crushing Techno Tigers Fight Multiple Sclerosis!
Today I was so proud of the Crushing Techno Tigers team!
They spent their time, energy, and wonderful Saturday to "do a good thing". Today the team, along with many parents, participated in the Walk MS event at Troy High School in Troy Michigan. One of the kids told me today they felt 'Happy to walk and help people that struggle to do things I can do every day like ride my bike or button my shirt".

At the WalkMS in Troy
The MS walk in Troy was a blast. Although we had fun and got to talk with our friends, we raised a lot of of money for the multiple scleroses society, we also helped many people that have MS. We even brought our parents along to raise even more money, and to motivate us to keep walking.

Interview with Multiple Sclerosis Society - More Body Forward Research
Today the Crushing Techno Tigers and the Robo Hippies met with three wonderful people from the Multiple Sclerosis Society. The representatives from MS did a wonderful job explaining:
- What MS is
- Describing the how it is diagnosed
- Describing the many ways that it can affect people
The kids really enjoyed and learned a lot from the interview. A big hit with the kids was the "Try it on" program that was brought in by Tammy, Bris and Lennie. This consisted of four stations, that the kids rotated through, that enabled them to learn what it might be like to accomplish 'every day' tasks if they were to have MS. It is one thing to discuss what the symptoms are it is another to really try simple things like buttoning up a shirt when you can't feel the buttons with your fingers or how tiring it can be to walk 10 feet when your fighting to keep your balance and your ankles feel like they weigh 10 pounds each.
Simply a wonderful experience.

Volunteering at the MS Bike charity event
We had a GREAT time volunteering at the MS Bike charity event today. The team and parents volunteered at finish line. We helped set everything up, move and organize the riders luggage and hand out metals to the riders as they crossed the finish line. What a wonderful event - Thank you everyone!
