Happy Holidays!

Hi Everyone,

Happy Holidays to all from the Crushing Techno Tigers!

Readying for State!

Great meeting tonight!

The kids on the CTT team are absolutely amazing, continuously surprising and impressing me.

Here is a pic of the team working together tonight in a final teamwork challenge as we prep for our fun run at the State tournament.

- Coach Daddio

We're excited to let everyone know that over 1,700 people have viewed our blog this season and over 500 people have viewed our YouTube video on strawberries and E-coli.

A shot of pure excitement that only FLL can bring!

This is just one of the amazing wild and exciting times that get to be experienced at an FLL tournament.

We love our Crushing Techno Tigers!!!

...Can't wait until the State Tournament in Flint :)

We're going to state

Yesterday was amazing !!!!!!! As our team cheered and chanted throughout the day, we really worked hard. From interviews to robot runs to wishing teams good luck in the hall. When we saw multiple callbacks in the coaches hands, we were going nuts. Watching rookie teams have a great day, and watching one of the few get second place. It felt outstanding winning a trophy for our robot design. Best of all hearing our name ( crushing techno tigers)get called, and we ran up to get the certificate to state, was breathtaking. December 10th is going to be the second best moment of the season. The first was having our start of the season party(with Coach Daddio's cool hat) and seeing the team together for the first time this season. Also seeing my brothers team succeed and make it to state, and win the tournament. I'm so glad our teams season did not end this early in the year. State here we come.

Interesting distraction during our meeting :)

Tonight we had an interesting distraction during our team meeting.  This distraction was particularly interesting since our research this season started with venison :)

robot, robot, robot....

Our one team member 'not' at 5th grade camp this week made some HUGE progress last night on the robot!  Techno-Brick Rocked!

Great work!

The numbers are in! Crushing Techno Tigers Donate to MS Society

Well, the final numbers are in and the Crushing Techno Tigers are responsible for raising $285 for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.  The team walked in the Walk MS event earlier this year in Troy MI.

The team showed up on a cool windy morning and walked the route a nice size crowd!  We all wore our CTT shirts and got a nice response as we did our team "HOO-HAH" cheer :)

This is a great group of kids and giving back to in this way shows their heart & spirit.

Congratulations team!

P.S. It should be noted that we had a few 'Hippies'
join us too!  ;)

Robots, projects & teamwork!

I am really proud of these amazing kids. Great work last night & more showed up tonight @ CTT HQ to continue the effort. Our season is starting to really progress in all areas.

In what I consider to be the most challenging robot course to date we are on the cusp of pulling in a good amount of points. What a productive two nights!

Great kids, amazing team, impressive results.

Tournament prep!

So much to do and so little time to do it!

Today a few of the CTT members came over to play LEGO's with me :)

Made some progress on the robot and some things are starting to come together.  However there a long way to go before tournament day.

Looking forward to tomorrow's meeting :)

Teamwork Challenges !!!

To get ready for the upcoming tournament season we are engaging in various 'teamwork' activities.  It has been a while since we had one and at this meeting the team quickly demonstrated to me why we had such a great first season.  To coin a known FLL phrase...   "We are a TEAM" :)

While there is certainly things we can and should improve upon, the kids did a wonderful job handling the 'monkey wrenches' i threw at them.

I am really lucky to be working with these kids!

THEY are teaching ME a lot!

Dhruv on the rules!

Even though it is a new season we are going back to one of our favorite meeting segments...

Yep, you guessed it...  "Dhruv on the rules"

We'd be lost without this segment!
