What we did in the last Lego meeting.

We started out with a word search. The list of words for the word search were the real names of the Lego bricks. Next we did a teamwork exercise. It was called the human robot!!! We took turns being the programmer and the robot. The programmer had to tell the robot how to get from place to place and how to move around.

After that we got to look at our new robot kit and all the Legos from the kit. We also learned what the Lego brick names were. Lastly we interviewed each other and then got to introduce our partner to the parents.

Title says it all. Our season is now moving forward... Body Forward that is.

We are now registered with FIRST and have a team number!

We are registered with FIRST, have a team number & our robot kit should be on it's way soon... The coach is getting excited! :)

Our First Meeting

The beginning of our first meeting was spent introducing and getting to know everyone. We talked about what the season would be like, what we will get to do and how we get to do everything ourselves. One of the important things we did was create a code of conduct.

We got to see the robot and watch it move around. We talked about teamwork and played a few fun teamwork games. Some of the games were with legos and some games weren't. It was a lot of fun.

We have a team!

As of today we officially have a team!

We now know that there are enough interested families to form a team. This is going to be a fun season and I can not wait to get things moving. It will be my pleasure to watch how these eight wonderful kids will grow and enjoy the FLL experience.
